Belbury Poly’s Selections

The sixth of a new series of playlists we are doing for our partners Qobuz, featuring musical choices from acts we adore. UK electronic duo Belbury Poly choose a selection of pieces that have informed new album Sorcery

Belbury Poly say:

“This represents the highlights from a playlist we listened to a lot during the making of Sorcery. We were trying to to capture the sounds and vibe of a very specific moment in electronic music; more or less around 1984 when analogue studio technology was just giving way to digital, and electronic music still had an aura of mystery, exoticism and fantasy.”
