Where to see the team spin sounds that inspire the magazine and its ethos\u00a0and to hear them monthly on the radio<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every month Jon ‘Mojo’ Mills takes “The Shindig!<\/em> Broadcast” to the award winning Soho Radio<\/a>, where music featured in each issue is played, and unique live sessions, alongside tracks integral to the presenters’ own tastes. Guests have included Fairport Convention’s Judy Dyble<\/a>, author Simon Matthews<\/a>, Nirvana’s Patrick Campbell-Lyons<\/a>, and Triptides<\/a>. Sessions have been performed by The Wicked Whispers<\/a>, Emma Tricca & Jason McNiff<\/a>, Cobalt Chapel, <\/a>Jack Cooper<\/a>\u00a0and Paul Weller<\/a> to name a few. Make sure you tune in each month either \u00a0via the site or later through our Mixcloud<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

Launched in August 2025 Jon along with co-editor Andy Morten joined the ranks of NQRA<\/a> with their new Transmission<\/a> show. You can find this too on our Mixcloud page.<\/p>\n

Shindig!<\/em>\u00a0 put on a monthly night at The Night Owl<\/a> in Finsbury Park from 2021 until the demise of the venue in 2024.<\/p>\n

What is fondly known as “The\u00a0Shindig!<\/em> Broadcast” (the same name as the magazine’s Soho Radio show<\/a>, just to confuse things) was also run, and may start again, bi monthly at the Strongroom<\/a>\u00a0in Shoreditch and Helgi’s<\/a> in Hackney, \u00a0and a quarterly collaboration with Psych-A-Rella<\/a>\u00a0entitled Psych-A-Rella Present The Shindig!<\/em> Revue, which features DJs and live bands, also ran at The Victoria in Dalston. The DJs have also played records for a number of events in London that have included The Chris Robinson Brotherhood\u00a0<\/a>at Koko, Love Revisited<\/a> at The Jazz Cafe, The Mystery Lights<\/a> at PowerHaus and GospelbeacH<\/a> at The Moth Club.
