Following the release of his 2016 debut album, Caulkhead<\/em>, EDWARD PENFOLD returns this winter with Denny Isle Drive <\/em>(Stolen Body Records). So far this year Penfold has released \u2018Flute Of The Noodle Bender\u2019, with Taos Humm, a three piece sitting somewhere between art-rock, garage, psych and kraut. He\u2019s spent the rest of the year recording his second album, \u2018Denny Isle Drive\u2019, the album is due to be released in November on Stolen Body Records. A long list of collaborators were called upon to help record the album. This included members of the Bloom collective as well as the loosely coined Belvoir House Band. The album was recorded by Dom Mitchison (Malthouse Studios) who Co-produced it with Penfold<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Thisisperhapsthemostinterestingthingsomeonehassaidofmymusic” Penfoldsays. “It is a review based on a personal association.” Although there are obvious, less abstract ways to discuss his new opus, it is perhaps more gratifying to critique Denny Isle Drive<\/em> in an open ended way, allowing imagery and their connotations to describe the work.<\/p>\n
