Together with brother Shane, he formed DREAM PHASES.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/playlists\/830248304&amp;color=%23ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;show_teaser=true&amp;visual=true\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><br \/>\nOn the strength of this, their full-length debut, you\u2019d be hard-pressed to come up with a more appropriate band name. The tracks on\u00a0<i>So Long, Yesterday<\/i>\u00a0flow into one another, as if snatched fragments of a woozy comedown dream.<\/p>\n<p>Some songs, like single \u2018Frightened Man\u2019 and album highlight \u2018Cruel World\u2019, reveal themselves immediately. Opener \u2018Mysterious\u2019 wears its Stones influences proudly on the sleeve of its Dandy Warhols t-shirt. Others, like \u2018Flesh and Blood\u2019 and the off-kilter \u2018Crippled View\u2019, take longer to unlock, rewarding repeat listens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The production serves the songs, leaving them space to breathe where necessary. On plaintive \u2018Confusion\u2019, the acoustic guitar makes way for a mournful pedal steel. \u2018Always on my Mind\u2019 shimmers, while \u2018Easy Love\u2019 bites and growls.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3147\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/02_Dream_Phases_0899_VF.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"214\" \/>Eclectic as this record is (ranging from garage fuzz to space rock), it\u2019s bound together by its harmonies, lush and ethereal. Here you\u2019ll find more \u201coohs\u201d and \u201caahs\u201d than a vet\u2019s waiting room.<\/p>\n<p><i>So Long, Yesterday<\/i>\u00a0clocks in at a mere 36 minutes, but with so much going on, it somehow feels longer.\u00a0By the end, you\u2019re left disorientated, not sure if you\u2019re still dreaming. But once it\u2019s seeped into your subconscious, you won\u2019t want to wake up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3148\"
