The first two volumes looked at rare and lesser spotted records from Brazil circa 1968 through to 1985, both gaining five stars in <i>Shindig!<\/i>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mopho - A Carta\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7odXDuDQTJY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Picture the scene, Brazil, 1985. End of the military dictatorship, <em>Rock in Rio<\/em>\u00a0put Brazil on the pop music map, Tancredo Neves was elected president, Ayrton Senna won his first F1 Grand Prix and\u00a0<em>Bizz<\/em>\u00a0magazine\u00a0was launched.\u00a0While Brazilian rock gained a projection never imagined, musical revolutions kept happening in the\u00a0<em>underground<\/em>\u00a0.\u00a0This is where the third volume of\u00a0<em>Beautiful Delirious Dream<\/em>\u00a0begins\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>From the second half of the 1980s onwards, after a period of political openness and cultural submission to the First World, Brazilian music began to be rediscovered and revalued by young people.\u00a0A process of falling prejudices began.\u00a0Musicians experimented again, blending outside influences with our roots.\u00a0Anthropophagic revolutions were happening again.\u00a0There was a resumption, a revaluation of the forgotten albums of Brazilian artists.\u00a0Musicians, DJs, producers and record collectors from all over the planet started to research Brazilian music besides Bossa Nova.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3283\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3283\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3283\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Bento-Araujo-1-1024x639.jpg\" alt=\"Bento Araujo in his natural habitat\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Bento-Araujo-1-1024x639.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Bento-Araujo-1-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Bento-Araujo-1-768x479.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shindig-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Bento-Araujo-1.jpg 1181w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3283\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bento Araujo in his natural habitat.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The purpose of the book\u00a0<em>Beautiful Delirious Dream vol.\u00a03: 100 Brave Records from Brazil (1986-2000)<\/em>\u00a0is to show that Brazil has produced transgressive musical works, many of which unfortunately remain neglected by the general public.\u00a0The mining of the works contained in this third volume begins in 1986.
