The Stairs<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 led by bassist\/vocalist Edgar \u2018Summertyme\u2019 Jones (The Joneses, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr) and accompanied by original band members Ged Lynn (guitar\/vocals) and Paul Maguire (drums) \u00a0\u2013 are back from 20 years of hibernation, refreshed and armed with their exciting hybrid of cosmic psychedelia, raucous R&B and \u201960s west coast garage sounds.<\/p>\n

Following their live return last November, at The Butterflys Ball And The Grasshoppers Feast,\u00a0the band will embark on a UK tour this summer courtesy of the\u00a0ZIG ZAG<\/strong> CLUB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before playing the following dates they will also headline\u00a0the\u00a0Le Beat Bespoke<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>weekend in London this Easter! Expect to hear favourites from their classic cult album Mexican R\u2019n\u2019B<\/em> as well as new material and unexpected rarities.<\/p>\n

Fellow psychedelic scousers The Wicked Whispers<\/strong><\/a> will be in support (and also performing with The Stairs at LBB). Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Maps Of The Mystic<\/em> (“Psychedelic and interesting” \u2013 Huw Stephens, Radio 1) the band will release their brand new double A-Side 7\u201d single \u2018Zodiac Girl’\/’If I Set You Free\u2019 on Electone Records this June.<\/p>\n
