A new video from the great CARSON McHONE just ahead of her UK/EU tour

Carson McHone on ‘Wake You Well’:

“I have taken a ship across the Atlantic five times now — each crossing is seven days at sea. It’s hard to look at water — big water — without considering the self and the vastness. And you’re not gonna get an answer — it’s just, you gotta decide how to carry what you feel.”

Pentimento finds McHone on the frontier of her musical imagination, channeling motifs as diverse as guitar rock, pastoral folk, poetry, field recordings, visual art, memory, family, and landscape into her most profound effort to date. Written in the Texas desert and recorded on the Canadian coast, the album is a layered compilation examining life’s shifting circumstances and the disquiet of the world at large.

To bring Pentimento to life, McHone will team with Max Kinghorn-Mills to build a touring ensemble featuring members of his own Hollow Hand Band, in addition to three performances in which she, Kinghorn-Mills, and multi-disciplinary artist Fliss Horrocks will play as a trio.
